Broad selling hit 9 of 11 sectors on a geopolitically charged session: fresh US strikes on Iran pushed oil near $90 a barrel, drove the 10-year Treasury yield to a 19-month high, and knocked the Dow 30 roughly 370 points lower, closing at 531.39 (-0.69%). The S&P 500 shed 0.31% to 766.87 while the Nasdaq (NDAQ) 100 nearly flatlined at 716.69 (+0.03%), lifted by Energy (+2.03%) and Technology (+0.40%) even as Communication Services (-1.35%), Utilities (-1.18%), and Industrials (-1.13%) led the damage. Edison International (EIX) plunged 24% and PG&E (PCG) slid after California lawmakers left wildfire liability on investor-owned utilities, crushing the sector. The Iran strike premium in oil, the hawkish Fed re-pricing following Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole remarks, and the California wildfire liability ruling are all unresolved and carry directly into Tuesday.

What is scheduled, with ET times. Not a forecast of how it lands.
The macro anchor is JOLTS at 10:00 AM, a medium-impact print that lands into a tape already re-pricing a potential September Fed hike. Dell (DELL) and Palo Alto Networks (PANW) both report after the close (~4:05 PM ET), making tech/cybersecurity positioning binary into the close. Watch: the 10-year yield level and oil relative to $90 as geopolitical proxies, the JOLTS print for labor-market confirmation of the hawkish Warsh narrative, and PANW for read-through to the broader cybersecurity trade after CrowdStrike (CRWD) hit an all-time high today. The Jobs report on 2026-09-04 at 8:30 AM is the week's dominant macro event and will increasingly shadow positioning from Tuesday onward.
Reporting tomorrow, and we have a view
What in the report would support or undermine our published research.
Confirms: Operating margin turning positive and platformization bookings acceleration would support the case for improving fundamentals.
Breaks: A second consecutive quarter of negative operating margin would reinforce concerns about the profitability timeline.
